The note celebration has been a topic of hot discussion in the IPL 2026, but Deepak Chahar produced his own version of it with a twist. Chahar cleaned up Finn Allen during the KKR vs MI match and decided to pull out an imaginary note for everyone to see.

KKR need 148 runs to win and Allen was tasked with getting his side off to a fine start. He was able to do that and hit two superb boundaries with cut shots. But Chahar was able to reduce the room offered to Allen, enticing the KKR batter to still go for the cut.
This time around he could only play it on to the stumps. Chahar then produced his new version of the note celebration for everyone at the Eden Gardens to see. You can see the video below:

The note celebration has seen a lot of pundits in recent times, especially from former cricketers.
The trend first gained attention last season when Abhishek Sharma displayed a special message for the Sunrisers Hyderabad supporters. It has carried on this year as well, with Raghu Sharma following the gesture before Urvil Patel later revealed a heartfelt note dedicated to his father.
Akash Singh’s celebration during the LSG vs CSK game didn’t sit well with many, including Dale Steyn. The South African legend said that the note celebration isn’t trending anymore and the papers should be put away soon.
Sunil Gavaskar took a jibe at Akash after the LSG vs RR game, after he was taken apart by the batters.
“Where’s the chit now, it’s in the pocket right? Where is the chit? I like a bit of humility,” Gavaskar said during the game. “In an over, you get a wicket in maybe one ball. Five balls you are being clobbered. He has given 48 runs in 17 deliveries.”
Gavaskar also asked for how long the players carry these chits with them in the name of celebrations.
“How long do they carry the chit for?” Gavaskar went on. “I mean if you carry everyday, it is bound to happen. If you carry it on a day and said that you do something and do it, then it is worth it.”
