Mr. Naveen Kumar Appointed as Tamil Nadu State Secretary of National Press Union of India
In a move reflecting a forward-looking vision and renewed emphasis on youth-driven leadership, the National Press Union of India (NPUI) has appointed Mr. L. Naveen Kumar as its Tamil Nadu State Secretary. The appointment was officially announced through a press release issued by the organization, which stated that the decision was made after careful consideration of his growing contributions to the union’s organizational development and public engagement initiatives.

At just 19 years of age, Naveen Kumar represents a new generation of leadership that combines technological understanding, media awareness, and organizational capability. Hailing from Coimbatore, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering and has been actively involved in technology-driven freelance projects since the age of 14. Over the years, he has worked on various digital initiatives, branding strategies, communication systems, and technology-oriented projects, gaining practical experience at a young age.
Within NPUI, Naveen Kumar has steadily emerged as an active contributor to the organization’s growth, particularly in areas related to leadership coordination, branding, digital presence, media communication, and organizational structuring. His involvement has extended across national, state, and district-level activities, where he has played a role in strengthening communication channels, outreach systems, and member engagement mechanisms under the operational framework of NPUI Media Network LLP.
The organization, in its official statement, noted that his appointment followed a detailed internal review and recommendation process, recognizing his ability to manage state-level responsibilities while contributing to the broader vision of the union. He is the son of “Seva Rathna” R.S. Lakshmi Raaja, Charter President of Lions Club of Coimbatore Semmozhi, Chairman of SKG Group of Companies, and a well-known personality associated with several organizations and social service activities. R.S. Lakshmi Raaja has been honored with the “Sevai Thilagam” award by the South Indian Social & Cultural Academy and the “Seva Rathna” award by Tamilnadu Cinema Kalaimandram in recognition of his service-oriented contributions to society.
As Tamil Nadu State Secretary, Naveen Kumar is expected to oversee state-level operations, strengthen district and regional coordination, and expand the organization’s network among journalists and media professionals across Tamil Nadu. His responsibilities will also include promoting responsible journalism, supporting media-related initiatives, enhancing youth participation, and reinforcing organizational unity within the press community.
